Swiss photographer Francois Portmann is focusing his editorial & commercial  work on the outdoor lifestyle and action sports,  and has  strong  interests for world cultures, travel and wildlife photography.

Based in New York City for twenty years, he works  mostly  on locations, from concrete landscape to open country around the globe for assignments and projects. His outdoor experience and the urban influence inspire him to create powerful images for his international clients.

Educated in photojournalism and portraiture in the traditional medium, he switched to digital capture & workflow over a decade ago,  combining both hi-tech and old school photography techniques and approaches.
